TRA Medical Imaging, a leading South Sound radiology practice, purchased the historic Ford & Crescent buildings in downtown Tacoma to house their main administrative offices. The Ford Building on the corner was built in 1918 for the Manley-Thompson Ford Agency. The adjacent auditorium was built in 1921 on the site of the former Germania Hall. In 1931 the two buildings were combined during remodeling, and the auditorium renamed the Crescent Ballroom. The Crescent Ballroom has a rich history as an entertainment venue in Tacoma.
The comprehensive renovations developed 3 floors of office in the Ford Building, added a new second floor inside the ballroom building, and converted the ground floor to parking. Mountain was pleased to support TRA’s commitment to the local community through the restoration and preservation of these historic buildings.
