Harbor Covenant Church was lacking a large common area for church members to gather before and after services. The new addition not only created a very large gathering area, but it also connected two stand-alone buildings and provided a formal entrance into the church.
The addition was an open plan concept with vaulted ceilings, exposed and stained structural wood beams, and stained concrete floors. The open space also includes a coffee bar and a cultured stone fireplace. The existing kitchen was outdated and too small for the church’s intended use. Mountain relocated the kitchen to the back of the building, which had more space and could provide drive-up access. The large commercial-style kitchen can now handle the church’s group events.
